Week 23
Happy Easter.
Bennett lasted through Sunday service, meeting many new people, brunch with the family, playtime with Gnarly, and a photo shoot to humor Mom - all after losing some sleep from a poop that arrived in the middle of the night. Not too shabby. The Easter bunny brought new clothes, several pairs of new socks (much needed), and some eating utensils for the much anticipated cereal that will be dispensed in a matter of weeks. Can't wait!

Week 21-22
We lost great-grandma Esther on March 12th at the age of 93. She met Bennett when he was still in mom's tummy and witnessed his hollering on several occasions via Skype. It saddens me to know he will never know the feel of his hand in hers or get to sample her oatmeal raisin cookies - but we will be sure to tell him stories and show him pictures so he knows she is a part of his life. Being apart from him for the last couple of days for the funeral has made me appreciate the time I get to spend with him on Fridays even more and made me miss the time we spend together as a family early every morning. Rest in peace Esther and may Bennett enjoy life as much as you did.

Week 20
Bennett continues to amaze us every day. He has officially graduated to sleeping in his crib full time, as of last week - and no longer needs to be swaddled to stay asleep. He is rolling from his back to his stomach and the other way around, he just won't do it on command...maybe we should look into giving him treats?
Yesterday he spent some quality time with his big brother Gnarly. Dad played fetch with Gnarly and, after officially being scared at Gnarly's sudden sometimes spastic movements, Bennett began to squeal every time the ball was tossed. I think it is the beginning of a long friendship between the peanut and the puppy.
Bennett also met Jala, the acupuncturist, for the first time yesterday. While Mom & Dad received some much needed puncturing, Bennett and Jala toured the office and chatted. They both thoroughly enjoyed meeting each other and it was a great way for Mom & Dad to get a little R&R. Thank you, as always, Jala!
Bennett also seems to be developing his sense of humor - a necessity to be a part of the family. He catches on when Mom and Dad are joking or egging him on. He hasn't quite developed his giggle yet but it is only a matter of time. He has been sizing up everything we eat too so it won't be long before we are shoving something other than milk into his pie hole!
